Lux is a simple table lamp that reveals its material nuance when illuminated. Made from delicate layers of laser-cut paper, the staggered cuts allow the warm glow of the bulb inside to find its way to the surface.

When on, the lamp reveals its layered patterning with a warm glow. When turned off, the lamp is a simple white column. Typically, a lamp shade is constant, remaining visible to hide the harsh source of light within. Lux provides the lampshade two identities, much like the bulb inside: on and off.
